A little Bosomy?

Stella Mae 2004 Syrah by Sparkman Cellars....check!
M 2008 Mourvedre by Karma Vineyards.....check!
Water Witch 2009 by Mark Ryan Winery...check!

A great start for Christmas Eve Dinner.  Would I describe them as bosomy? I'm not sure, but I laughed when I saw the definition on the coasters below. I would love to own a wine cellar like the one's I found here.

Love this design!

Do not attempt to enter after finishing a bottle of wine......

I draw a lot of vintage wine openers and actually use some to open wine with....really!

Hilarious.....I'm going to use bosomy and see what kind of reaction I get.

Santa Has Arrived

Decorating bonanza has started. Lights, fake snow, Xmas village and of course the many Santa's!

He is my FAVORITE.....44 years old and still smiling that dashing smile.

I don't see my name on his list...should I be worried?

My mom gave us our favorite ornaments from childhood.......60 years old and still has a beard!

Let the Christmas season begin

Black Friday

I don't even attempt to go out on black Friday. No sale on underwear and socks is that good! So, here I am adding items to my etsy shop http://www.aspotofcolor.etsy.com/.

Santa is my favorite character of the season!

Add a little sparkle to the table.

My favorite wine box...loved this project.

I love the metallic paint especially the black, white, gray combinations.

Spread some joy this Christmas!

Paris Day Dream

I awoke thinking about butternut squash soup topped with Gruyere croutons accompanied by pear salad with wine pairings of Sauvignon Blanc and Voignier. Yes.....I am in charge of the first course for Thanksgiving. While double checking with Barefoot Contessa about my grocery list I got distracted by her description of cheese and the best places to purchase this dreamy fromage in Paris and I thought, well, wouldn't it be nice to..........

stay at the Hotel de la Tremoille

visit Poilane for a loaf of bread or two, hmmm, maybe three

I would buy an insane amount of cheese, so much that they might offer me employment

chocolate from Pierre Herme' (Love the mushrooms)

of course we need some wine from Legrand Fille et Fils

What else could we possibly want? who knows, but we should find it at La Grande Epicerie de Paris!

A nice Parisian man agreed to hall my enormous clock back to the hotel for me

I can't go anywhere without shopping for paint.....

may I PLEASE join you?

Finally woke up and I'm off to the store...I'll definitely stop by the cheese department.

WISH List

My new love...wire baskets.

I love linens multiple personalities. Sometimes it looks classic and well put together; other times casual and a little messy!

Beautiful! I would add some aubergine colored pillows to this bed.

Bella Beach Family Reunion

I have so many pictures from this trip to Bella Beach for a family reunion but I'm only going to post a few. I am so tired from this vacation, but it is the good kind of tired. So many memories were made on this trip!

Greg rode to Lincoln City (we took the team car)!  You're feeling great....good, because you have 112 more miles to go!
This is where we called home. The name of the house was appropriately called "It must be 5:00 somewhere"

Good idea to build a trench to keep the water out.

I think you need to rethink your design.

The water was very cold.  My entire backside was drenched after this shot, but so worth it!

The weather was so good it felt like we were in California.

I love this picture of Greg with his cousin. They hosted all the dinners, beach fires and crazy fun activities! Look at that view, I did not want to leave!

The "Chick" Series

What kind of "Chick" are you?

I know a lot of fabulous chicks! I have been drawing a series of chicks and my most recent is of my Super Lacrosse Chick (niece Anna). She is having withdrawals because her season is over.....it's OK....you'll be swinging that stick in no time.
#20 is TOUGH!
My "Fashion Chick" friends always look put together no matter what they wear.....
unfortunately, I am not their size and cannot borrow anything.
I enjoy being the "Garden Chick"......
but only when my  "Garden Dude"  is around!
"Surfer Chick" is my favorite. I pretend that I'm a surfer chick in mind and in spirit! I think garden dude likes surfer chick the best too..............

Swim, Bike, Run and Drink

Yes, swim, bike, run and drink......you read correctly. Many of my friends (and people who live in my own house) do these activities often, so I am dedicating this wine box to you. The starting of summer for me is when the Tour De France starts. I'm hooked! Bright and early every morning for three weeks I tune into my two favorite announcers and watch incredible athletes ride for 100 plus miles a day.  Anyone who has ridden a bike would know how difficult this race is. I know, sometimes doping is involved.........I love it anyway. Cheers to all the athletes in my life! Please don't drink while you're doing the first three........
Wine box cover drawn with pencil.
I love to ride my bicycle!
Drink to good health!
I will be doing a lot French inspired work this month.
